Drink for a cause!

What’s better than doing something you love? Doing something you love and helping out a good cause at the same time! That’s why we’re so excited about the latest news from Pine Ridge Vineyards. They just announced that for every bottle of Chenin Blanc + Viogner they sell, they’ll donate $1 to American Forests to plant up to 5,000 trees.

If you’ve never had the Napa Valley winery’s super-popular white-wine blend, this is the perfect excuse to give it a try. It’s nice and crisp and a bit floral-y, with notes of stone fruit and the tiniest hint of honey. In other words, it’s the perfect summer wine. The best part? Even though the blend is constantly getting kudos from big names in the wine industry—90 points from Robert Parker, and named one of the 25 best wines of summer by Food & Wine magazine—it retails for a super-reasonable $14.

Today is one of those days that has us positively longing for the dry, sunny days of summer. It’s been drizzling non-stop since we woke up (It’s so miserable out there that even our dogs won’t go out to play. Seriously, we open the door to the back yard to let them out, and they just stand inside, looking at us like we’re crazy). But on the bright side (literally), we just heard that starting Sunday, we’re going to have a long string of sunny days. Thanks to Pine Ridge, we know exactly how we’re going to celebrate.
